We follow Keep a Changelog and
Semantic Versioning.
Current latest release: 1.1.0.
1.1.0 — 2025-08-12
Added
- AI image/video maker: generate images or short videos (model + cost selection), preview, then attach to a note. Includes size/aspect presets and a cost estimate.
- Settings modal for storing your Substack URL and a Runware API key.
- Bulk tools: fetch recent posts, generate topic batches, and create posts in bulk.
- Live note preview with a lightweight markdown-ish renderer and a formatting toolbar.
Improved
- System tray experience: single-instance lock, minimize-to-tray by default, and a one-click “Show App”.
- Licensing reliability: background re-validation every 12 hours with UI notification if a license becomes invalid.
- Update gate to prevent editing on outdated versions.
1.0.9 — 2025-07-29
Improved
- Faster, more resilient link resolution with clearer fallbacks when metadata is missing.
- Optional download of preview images as base64 during link resolution; cleaner media previews in the editor.
- Debounced URL checks for snappier typing.
- Mac/Windows polish: smarter dock show/hide behavior and a tidier tray menu.
- Tightened Content Security Policy for safer defaults.
1.0.8 — 2025-07-15
Fixed
- YouTube link handling now prefers Substack’s native embed; when unavailable, we fall back to a preview image. Clearer “Fetching…” and “Embed ready” states.
- “Launch at login” state now updates immediately in the tray menu on Windows/macOS.
- Scheduled notes remain time-sorted after edits; edits preserve existing media/embeds unless explicitly changed.
- Reduced spurious “update lock” prompts via a more defensive version check and caching.
